When Hari Neupane established Ambe Group in 1982, it was a simple trading company, importing electronics and garments from Hong Kong and Singapore. Within its first three years of trading, Ambe Group had grown into one of the largest trading firms in Nepal.

After 20 years dominating Nepal’s international trade industry, Ambe Group began to diversify. In 2004, the group established Ambe Cement, its first manufacturing unit in Parwanipur in Parsa district on the outskirts of Birgunj in Nepal’s terai region. Following that they continued to expand into multiple business verticals with interests in banking, real estate, property development, food manufacturing and the steel industry.
