Eurowings Aviation & Consulting Ltd. and Eurowings Aviation Training Services Single Member Private Company, both based in Athens Greece form Eurowings Group of Companies.
Founded in July 2000, Eurowings Ltd. has up to now provided to Greek and foreign customers a range of services from Aviation Training and Time Building to Flying Holidays, Aerial Photography, Techical Assistance, Consulting and I.T. services.
With the view to gradually take over all Eurowings Ltd. aviation training activities, Eurowings ATS was founded in March 2014 aiming to exploit further existing Eurowings Ltd. infrastructures and knowhow but also develop new capabilities as part of its investment plan partially funded by European and national authorities. Aircraft (LAPL) and Private Pilot (PPL) licences and Night Rating for Aeroplanes based on European (EASA Part FCL) regulations,
- Refreshment and Pilot Currency programs,
- Bridge programs for PPL holders in Helicopters to gain PPL in Aeroplanes,
- services for validation of ICAO licences and conversion to EASA PART FCL,
- Time (Hour) Building programs with mentoring services from Eurowings ATS experienced Flight Instructors for Greek and foreign pilots who wish to improve their skills beyond the PPL(A) level or need to obtain additional flying experience required for the continuation of their training at a higher (CPL/ATPL) level.
- Short courses structuring our Intensified Foundation Program in Aviation Studies (IFPAS) to improve knowledge and skills of existing and prospective employees of aviation bodies.
Both Eurowings Ltd. and Eurowings ATS exploit common resources briefly outlined below:
- Reims Cessna 172 aeroplane owned by Eurowings Ltd.
- Total office space of 200 s.m. with storerooms 40 s.m. in Athens head office,
- Advanced I.T., office automation and presentation equipment,
- Internet based e-Learning Platform (Information & Training Support System, ITSS) supporting aviation training services,
- Messologhi Airfield in Messologhi, W.Greece to be used as Flight Training base with 800 m asphalt runway (07/25), apron, HT / CFI Offices, 50 s.m. Lecture/Presentation space, Crew Briefing Room, Operations Room and a 670 s.m. Aircraft Hangar.
- new infrastucture to be deployed ιn the next few months as part of Eurowings ATS Investment Plan including:
- a flight simulator (ELITE EVOLUTION S172 FNPT I) meeting JAA / EASA FSTD-A certification requirements,
- one (1) server and five (5) new portable computers to be used by trainers and trainees for the needs of the training programs thus improving the productivity and efficiency of training,
- development of an integrated environment based on web technologies supporting learning, information and management including the present web site, a content management system (CMS) with workflow capabilities to support the administrative, training and operational processes of Eurowings ATS and the integration of the existing e-learning platform developed and currently operated by Eurowings Ltd.
- a new 50 s.m. building in Messologhi Airfield for the installation and operation of the Flight Simulator.
