In Nepal, the Ministry of Education is responsible for formulating education policy and coordinating all plans and programs. The University Grants Commission coordinates the assistance and operation of higher education policy making while the universities are free to carry out their functions.

The Department of Education under the Ministry of Education formulates, implements and manages the annual school education plan. The Department of Education implements, monitors and manages educational plans through district education offices. The management committee in each school is responsible for the operation and management of the school.

There is an educational manpower development center at the central level for teacher development and there are 34 training centers under it. These

training centers conduct a variety of teacher training. Arrangements have also been made to support teachers and schools to improve teaching and learning from resource centers established in groups of some schools. At present, a total of 1053 resource centers are operating across the country. Regional education directorates in five development regions also assist in monitoring and coordinating program operations.

At the central level under the Ministry of Education. L. C. There are Examination Control Office for Exam Management, Curriculum Development Center for Curriculum Development and Modification, Non-Formal Education Center for Non-Formal Education Program Operation and Management, Teacher's Library for Teacher Record Management and Educational Testing Center.

The Higher Secondary Education Council provides technical education and vocational training programs (excluding university programs), including short-term training, technical entrance and diploma level programs, and technical education and vocational training. The training is being conducted through the council.

Under the Ministry of Education, there are two Central Libraries (National Library and Keshar Library) and one Autonomous Library (Dillerman-Kalyani Regmi Memorial Library). Janak Shiksha Samagri Kendra is a government-owned institution for printing and distributing textbooks under the Ministry of Education.
