Engineer

• Design power system facilities and equipment and, operation and maintenance of electric power generating, receiving, and distribution stations, transmission lines and distribution systems and equipment.
• Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance of plant equipment enforcing safety standards and document the Permit to Work (PTW) as per the corporate requirements.
• Monitor the Continuous Maintenance Monitoring System (CMMS) and maintain stock of critical spare parts and safekeeping in operation and maintenance of the equipment
• Prepare Purchasing Request of critical spare parts and liaise with procurement department for preparing special purchase order
• Supervise and coordinate in isolation/energization of high tension switchgears complying safety standards
• Ensure that the devices used for condition monitoring and other relevant maintenance is calibrated
• Ensure that the heavy duty gantry crane motor and control systems are properly maintained.
• Strategic planning of manpower and spare parts for major overhauls including Annual Boiler Overhaul and Total Planned Shutdown to meet operational standards
• Responsible for ensuring all maintenance activities performed is documented as per corporate requirements.
• Interpret the single line diagram of critical electrical equipment like 66 kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), Generator Protection System, Special Vacuum Circuit Breaker (VCB) and provide field training to technicians and technical officers.
• Fact finder for commissioning of major electrical equipment like generator, generator protection system and switch gears.
