Teach English in Nepal

About the product
Teaching English in Nepal is an excellent way to immerse yourself in the local community and support schools that need help the most. Volunteers who teach English in the city of Kathmandu or the countryside villages are able to provide a different perspective to students in interpreting the written word, pronunciation, and conversational exchange in a way that local teachers cannot. Depending on the school, there is typically an existing curriculum from which you can work. Alternatively, many teachers and school administrators are open to let you make your own lesson plans or customize your classes as you see fit. The levels of compereshension and reading ability vary widely, so creative thinkers with positive energy are encouraged to apply. It’s a fun challenge to put your stamp on the experience for the students!

Our volunteer program typically works with a school in which you teach a range of students, typically a primary school or a middle/high school. Age groups from 4-9, and from 10-16. We work with schools in Kathmandu, Pokhara and in the mountain village of Lamjung.

Why Nepal?
Nepal is a great choice for volunteering, whether you’re in your gap year, between jobs, or looking to combine a program with popular trekking and hiking in Nepal. There are many different trekking options from all our locations to suit your schedule and available time. Because we offer guided services to all the major destinations, we can work with you in advance, or when you arrive, to customize your experience. We can offer discounts at hotels within our network to save money on an excursion to Chitwan National Park, Bhaktapur, Langtang National Park or any of the Buddhist or Hindu temples for a spriritual journey.
