Intensified Foundation Program in Aviation Studies (IFPAS)

About the product
This program is a combination of personal development theoretical courses designed for those who wish a) to gain theoretical knowledge on basic subjects governing ab-initio pilot training AND/OR b) to obtain knowledge and skills to address different issues related to operations of Aviation Bodies (Airlines, Maintenance Organisations, Air Navigation Service Providers, Airport Authorities, Flight Schools, etc.). IFPAS can be organized both in Greece or in Nepal depending on training needs.
IFPAS is structured in two (2) main categories of courses (Category A and B).
Category A includes courses which are best for participants towards their efforts for a future career as pilots. Courses are based on the syllabus for theoretical knowledge training required for Private Pilot Licence (Aeroplanes), also known as PPL(A), in accordance with European (EASA) Flight Crew Licensing Regulations. IFPAS Category A courses currently include:
Air law & ATC Procedures,
Human Performance,
Meteorology,
Communications,
Principles of Flight,
Operational Procedures,
Flight Performance and Planning,
Aircraft General Knowledge,
Navigation
Category B courses are oriented towards those who are interested to become employees or upgrade their current management (non pilot) posts in an aviation body. Courses in this category cover specific subjects such as Safety and Quality Management, Cerification, Business Planning, Process Modelling and Management etc. IFPAS Category B courses currently include:
Fundamentals of Safety Management,
Introduction on Safety Management System (SMS) Development in an Aviation Organisation,
Introduction on Certification of Foreign Approved Pilot Training Organisations,
Introduction on Licensing of Air Carriers,
Business Planning for Air Carriers,
Introduction on Aviation Quality Systems,
Aviation English,
Process Modelling & Management in Aviation Industry,
Other courses which may be added from time to time.
