In the current context, only the financial institutions, development banks and commercial banks established in the country have not been able to move the weakened national economy in a relatively correct direction, and the development of cooperatives is accelerating. There are about 33,000 (thirty three thousand) cooperatives operating in the country now, embracing the sentiments of the general Nepali people (lower class, middle class, upper class). Due to the lack of financial services in the rural areas of the Terai, hills and Himalayas, financial services have been provided only by the cooperatives. In this context, we need to move forward by modifying the existing Cooperatives Act and Rules, including the general Nepali citizens in the cooperative movement, and cooperating in every activity related to the living standards of the people, targeting the cooperatives in finance, production and distribution.

In the current cooperative market, we are in the forefront in paid up capital, deposit collection, loan borrowing, profit making, contribution to the Government of Nepal in revenue and total turnover. We have always been committed to institutional good governance, including rewards to members. We express our commitment to all the shareholders and the general Nepali citizens to play a leading role in the overall cooperative movement of Nepal by operating the organization more powerfully in the future.

The organization covers 4 zones (Bagmati, Gandaki, Narayani and Lumbini) and currently 26 districts (Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Nuwakot, Rasuwa, Sindhupalchok, Dhading, Kavrepalanchok, Chitwan, Bara, Makwanpur, Parsa, Rautahat, Gorkha, Lamjung, Manang, Tanahu, Kaski, Syangja, Arghakhanchi, Gulmi, Kapilvastu, Nawalparasi (East), Nawalparasi (West), Palpa and Rupandehi.
